GREY WATER TREATMENT

SAVING WATER BY RE-USING GREY WATER

Grey water can be defined as any domestic wastewater produced, excluding sewage. Recycled grey water can be used for laundry, toilet flushing and also the irrigation of plants. Treated grey water can be used to irrigate both food and non-food producing plants. The nutrients in the grey water (such as phosphorus and nitrogen) provide an excellent food source for these plants.

People are now waking up to the benefits of grey water re-use, the two main ones being a lower consumption of precious fresh water for purposes that don’t require it, like car washing and plant irrigation, and the reduction of wastewater entering sewers and waterways (as it is unfortunately most often the case in India, leading to increased pollution of our rivers and seas).

There are various ways to treat grey water so it can be re-used. Contact us and our specialists will set up a suitable grey water recycling system for you.
